Fort Stanwix orderly book 1758

Orderly book of a brigade of British regular and Provincial troops commanded by Brigadier General John Stanwix at Oneida Station, New York, during the construction of Fort Stanwix on the present site of Rome, New York, from August 12 to October 14, 1758. The book was kept by Sargent Amariah Preston of Captain David White's company of Colonel Joseph Williams's regiment and contains routine orders of the day, the details for working and covering parties that were at work on the fort. 55 folios
